Its since the 27 year old computer expert who worked for the DNC, Seth Rich, was murdered in the rear without anything of value taken from him, been close to annually. Rich was found alive as well as in shock before he bled outside his departure ruled nothing greater than a botched robbery.
Many believe Rich was a sufferer retaliation for being the source who supplied Wikileaks with a trove of DNC e-mails.

In the aftermath of the shooting, the Rich family hired a private investigator Rich Wheeler, a former D.C. murder detective who says evidence on Seth Richs laptop implies he was in contact with WikiLeaks prior to his passing. Of note, Wheeler does not have possession of the notebook in question however he said specific information will probably be published on Tuesday (5/16).
Also, Wheeler believes there has been a cover-up:
The police department nor the FBI have been forthcoming, said Wheeler. They havent been collaborating at all. I believe that the answer to solving his departure lies on that computer, which I believe is either in the police department or either at the FBI. I have been told both.
If his sources have told him there’s info that links Rich to Wikileaks when we inquired Wheeler, he said ,. Yeah. Thats confirmed.

So a former D.C. murder detective, hired by the Rich family, claims he was told directly by a source within D.C. police that they were told to stand down.
It also casts doubt on the Russian hacking story
Furthermore, Wheeler said theres more to come:
I dont think it comes in the leaders office, but I do believe there is a correlation between the DNC and the mayors office and this is the information which will come out [Tuesday].

How Wikileaks changed the span of history
There was no table of contents or some other guide, when the Wikileaks were released. Instead, these were raw DKIM verified emails, which would take nothing short of a huge bunch-sourced attempt to process and decipher. Across various message boards Reddits The_Donald and largely 4chan, dots were quickly being connected within days nonetheless. New discoveries reached massive audiences through digital megaphones provided by social networking giants Twitter and Facebook, and eventually made it into the mainstream.

Its much less of a stretch to conclude he was killed, if Seth Rich was in fact one of Wikileaks sources. Furthermore, whats left of the Russian hacking narrative is in my opinion, moot. More to come when this might get a lot more interesting.
